Luciana Bencivenga

Luciana Bencivenga nasce a Napoli nell’89.
Completa nel 2010 gli studi alla Scuola del Libro di Urbino con il Perfezionamento in Cinema d’animazione, illustrazione e fumetto. Durante il Perf pubblica con LoStraniero, Mami Verlag e la produzione indipendente Resina1, di cui è stata cofondatrice. Lo stesso anno si trasferisce ad Amburgo dove frequenta l’Accademia di Belle Arti, sezione Cinema. Partecipa a workshop formativi con Stefano Ricci, Manuel Fior e Roman Muradov, presso Orecchio Acerbo editori e Short Theater ex Macro Testaccio a Roma.
Dal 2012 al 2019 lavora nel settore della ristorazione come cuoca e nel frattempo porta avanti la sua ricerca, lascia discutere i suoi colori. Disegna. Dal 2016 collabora con l’associazione Carnival Factory per la creazione e decorazione dei carri allegorici del carnevale storico di Fano. Nell’ottobre 2020 debutta Ocean,una performance interattiva rivolta al giovane pubblico (+4) che attraverso la danza, il disegno animato e il livedrawings tratta il tema dell’inquinamento degli oceani; una produzione Dschungel Wien.
Attualmente sogna nuove possibilità per la catastrofica storia dell’essere umano e lavora a nuovi disegni approposito il connubio uomo/natura.

Luciana Bencivenga was born in Naples in 1989.
In 2010 she completed her studies at the “Scuola del Libro” of Urbino at the "Perfezionamento di Disegno Animato" course (Advanced course of Animation and Comics). During Perfezionamento she published for LoStraniero, Mami Verlag and the independent production Resina1, of which she was the co-founder. The same year she moved to Hamburg where she attended the Academy of Fine Arts, Cinema section; she takes part at different workshops with Stefano Ricci, Manuel Fior and Roman Muradov, at Orecchio Acerbo publisher and Short Theater ex Macro Testaccio in Rome. From 2012 to 2019 she worked in the catering sector, and in the meanwhile she continued her research, letting her color discuss. She draws.
Since 2016 she’s been taking part in the Carnival Factory crew of Fano, and she collaborates for the creation of allegorical floats for the city’s historical carnival. In October 2020 she had the premiere with Ocean (+4), an interactive dance performance about plastic pollution, a Dschungel Wien production. She is currently dreaming about new possibilities for the catastrophic history of the human being and working on new illustrations about the bond between human/nature.
