Marco Capellacci (Urbino, 1988) is an illustrator and animator, collaborates with the magazine "Le Bateau" and the publishing house "Les Crocs Électriques". His animated short film Le fobie del guard rail is included on the DVD "Animations. Contemporary Italian Short Films n.2" (ed. Viva Comix, OTTOmani, 2012) and in "L'animation Indépendante italienne" (Les Films du Paradoxe, 2015) curated by Andrea Martignoni and Paola Bristot, and was awarded the best film Italian at the Festival Lago Film Fest, Revine Lago (TV) in 2012. His designs have been published in various newspapers and magazines such as Il Manifesto, Alias, Domus, Repubblica D, British Animation Award, Lo Straniero. His films have been shown in numerous animated film festivals including Fano International Film Festival, Animateka Film Festival in Ljubljana, Piccolo Animation Festival in Trieste.
His latest short film La virgola nel cassetto won the National Award of the Silver Muse Festival in Ragusa in 2016 and was published on the DVD "Animations" n.4 (ed. Viva Comix, OTTOmani). In 2017 he created the poster of the Cinedeaf IV edition with its exhibition at the MAXXI, National Museum of the 21st Century Arts (Rome).
He has participated in solo and group exhibitions, we highlight Omissis with Ahmed Ben Nessib at the Kinemax Exhibition Space in Gorizia (PFA in collaboration with Studio Faganel, 2017) curated by Paola Bristot; Italian animations, curated by Paola Bristot (Sala Veruda, Palazzo Costanzi, Trieste; Bellas Artes National Museum, Lisbon; Italian Cultural Institute, Ljubljana, 2016-17); Les crocs électriques (YOYO, Palais de Tokyo, Paris; Galerie OpenBach, Paris, 2019).
In 2019/2020 he published an illustrated book Metterò la zizzania nelle vostre case curated by Paola Bristot, with Vivacomix / Juliet, previewed at the Macro Asilo Roma, at the Piccolo Animation Festival in Trieste and lastly at the collective exhibition I feel! Don't be deaf to emotions at the Tiber Art Gallery in Rome by Francesca Masiero.
