Francesco Ruggeri was born in Urbino in 1994.
He studied animated cinema at the Scuola del Libro of Urbino where he graduated and where he attended the two-year period of "Perfezionamento" of animated drawing.
With his debut film Le matrici dell'io, he won the Special Jury / Scuola del Libro Prize at the International Poetic Animation Film Festival "Animavì" in Pergola (PU).
