Emanuela Bartolotti, after attending Art High School in her own city, Lecce, moved to Bologna to study and work. Here, she earned a scenography degree at the Fine Art Academy. Afterwards, she attended the “Perfezionamento di Disegno Animato” (Advanced course of Animated Drawing and Comics) in Urbino.

She works between Bologna, Milan and Lecce.

She uses different expressive languages. In 2009 she won her first awards in the photography field: she has been shortlisted for the Premio Fotografico (photographic prize), the Color Awards-Photography Master Cup 2009; she has been among the nominees of the 5th Annual Black and White Spider Awards and finalist at “II Premio di Fotografia Italiana Arte Contemporanea” (Italian contemporary photography, second edition, 2008).

Between 2005 and 2009, she illustrated cover books for several publishing houses: Fazi-Lain, Lupo Editore, Barbera Editore.

In 2016 she started to win her first awards for her animation works. She's been selected for national and international festivals.

As a freelance, she has made music videos, advertising spots and short animation movies.
