Anna Ferrades was born in Pesaro and lives up in the hills near Urbino.
She attended the “Perfezionamento di Disegno Animato” (Advanced course of Animated Drawing and Comics) two year lenght course at “Scuola del Libro” of Urbino, during which she made the short animated film Maman, selected at various festivals including the International Short Film Festival of Siena, Cartoon Club of Rimini, Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film in Stuttgart, Pesaro Film Festival, and awarded at the "Immaginafestival" festival in Leinì and at the International Multimedia Festival in Pordenone.
She alternates her traditional drawing on desk with periods of nature immersion and works that keep her in contact with people, in order to support the need to change points of view that she frequently feels.
Commissioned by the architects Frank Dierks and Nicole Pfoser, she created a series of vector graphic design prints for the windows of the Kita auf dem LuO Campus school in Darmstadt and executed drawings on concrete at the same school.
She worked as a designer under the artistic direction of Simone Massi for the documentary films Love is potato, by Aliona Van der Horst, and La strada dei Samouni, by Stefano Savona, winner of the d'Oeil d'Or at the Cannes Festival 2018.
